Terms of service

These terms govern your use of this ai-poster instance. The person or organisation running the instance is referred to as "the operator". By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the local minimum age of digital consent, where higher) and able to enter into a binding agreement. You must comply with the terms of every external service you connect — Google, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and your chosen LLM provider each have their own developer policies.

2. Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your password and session tokens secure.
  • You're responsible for any activity under your account.
  • One account per person; don't share credentials.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Publish content you don't own or don't have rights to.
  • Publish content that violates the rules of the destination platform (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), including but not limited to harassment, spam, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or copyright infringement.
  • Use the service to send unsolicited bulk content.
  • Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the system, or to access data belonging to other users.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with normal operation.
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law.

4. Content and ownership

You retain ownership of the images you upload and the captions published from your account. You grant the operator a limited licence to process that content for the sole purpose of delivering the service — fetching from Drive, generating captions, and publishing on your behalf.

5. Third-party services

ai-poster connects to Google Drive, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and the LLM provider you configure. The operator does not control these services and is not responsible for their availability, behaviour, or decisions (e.g. a platform suspending your account or rejecting a post). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

6. Service availability

The service is provided "as is" without uptime guarantees. The operator may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time — including this instance — with reasonable notice where practical.

7. Generated content

Captions are generated by an LLM. Output may be inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing what you publish and for any consequences of publication. The operator makes no warranty as to the accuracy, fitness, or non-infringement of LLM-generated text.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. The operator may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks the operator's standing with a third-party platform.

11. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless a different forum is required by mandatory law.
